Why Learn & Lead?
Senior Managers, Executives and Supervisors don't always have time to go to training in their companies or organizations. Many people ask the question, "Are Leaders born, or is Leading a Career Choice?" In some cases the Leader is born into a family of Leaders, and in many other cases, they need to realize that when they advance to Senior Management, Executive and/or Supervisory responsibilities, they chose to Lead.
Often career professionals in these upper management positions, are promoted because they "get the job done" not necessarily because they can Lead. However, Leadership skills are key to performance and advancement. When I coach some of my clients and ask them to describe their job, work and career, they usually describe their duties and responsibilities and not much, if any "Leadership" is described.
